Principal/CEO

Paul Rising is a principal of BLRB and became CEO in 2003.  Paul grew up in Eastern Washington and attended Washington State University.  Mr. Rising brings vast experience in planning, design and construction of educational facilities and has served as principal-in-charge for over 55 major projects and countless small works projects. Paul has been responsible for writing educational specifications for numerous projects ranging in size from 5,000 SF to 230,000 SF.  He has facilitated many planning processes that have resulted in clear educational planning documents and concepts.  Paul focuses on how diverse points of view ultimately improve the quality of the project.

Paul is a recognized authority and specialist on energy conservation and use of daylighting in educational facilities.  He was the principal author of the Washington State Energy Office document titled "Energy Conscious Design and the Architectural Program." He brings a wealth of design experience and expertise in designing energy efficient facilities to every BLRB project.
