project overview

From residence hall modernization to the renovation of its East Campus building, BLRB has served Pacific Lutheran University for nearly two decades. Currently we are working with the university on the phased replacement of its multipurpose athletic field and supporting facilities. The project encompasses design and construction of a synthetic multipurpose playfield that will support intramural sporting events and practice activities for soccer, football and lacrosse. The project will be completed in phases as funding is secured, with Phase I including design and construction documents for a 265’ X 520’ synthetic turf field, perimeter fencing, football goal posts, potable water system and conduits for future field lighting and scoreboard. Anticipated completion of Phase I is late 2011. Cost (est): $ 1.75M

BLRB was engaged in 2009 to provide pre-design services for the development of a $20M (estimate) state-of-the-art football stadium for Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. The project scope included conceptual design for a spectator grandstand, multi-use all-weather field, locker rooms, press box, field lighting for night games, club room, team rooms, concessions, ticket office and support areas, as well as a public plaza and pavilion. The project is currently at the capital campaign stage, for which BLRB provided collateral design support.
