project overview

In an effort to better serve its residents and foster a strong sense of community, the City of Auburn engaged BLRB to develop two facility additions to its popular 20-acre Les Gove Campus Park that will support youth and teen activities, as well as community recreation needs for all ages. Phase I of the project encompasses a new Activity Center and Gymnasium, and Phase II will integrate an all-ages Community Center into the existing park campus.

The new Gymnasium is a 9,575 square foot addition located on the park’s north campus. The multi-use facility features flexible meeting and event spaces for public use and a naturally ventilated gymnasium. The building connects to the existing Senior Center via a new covered walkway, and features campus improvements including outdoor play areas, a climbing wall, and a south facing plaza.
