The City of Woodinville was looking to enhance and preserve their historic context with the rehabilitation of a 18,500 GSF, early 1900s School House. Our service to the City of Woodinville encompassed assessment, documentation, use planning, facility programming, predesign and cost modeling for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of this historic three-story former school building. In connection with this task, the City wished to improve their civic campus by providing 84 new parking stalls. BLRB led the community workshops to develop plans and estimates leading to a Capital Bond Measure. One scenario featured a below grade garage with a civic plaza lid. The master plan sought to improve vehicular and pedestrian connectivity between the new city hall and the historic school house.
