Harrison Elementary School was a replacement for a beloved school that had served generations of its community's students. Noted for excellence in educational design, the new school is also infused with design and materials references that evoke community history and character.

Meadow Crest Early Learning Center serves a diverse child and family population in Renton, Washington. This replacement project received the Governor's Smart Communities Award for program and design excellence, and its contribution to serving the early learning and supporting program needs of its community.

The comprehensive rehabilitation of Seattle's historic Hamilton Middle School encompassed the preservation and restoration of the building's historic facade and the construction of an architecturally complementary addition to house the school's gymnasium.

This rehabilitation and expansion of a 1960s municipal parking garage ultimately delivered a visually iconic anchor in downtown Tacoma, Washington that offers parking, street-level retail and two floors of high performance, Class A commercial office space.

Our Family Residence and Service Hub addition for Bethlehem Inn in Bend, Oregon, was recognized with a third place award in the publication's newly created Homeless Shelter category. It was also recognized separately by the Energy Trust of Oregon for excellence in sustainable design.

High Performance Design
First Place, Energy Trust of Oregon
One of three elementary replacements completed for the Reynolds School District, Troutdale Elementary School was recognized for excellence in sustainable design. Along with its sister elementaries, Fairview and Wilkes, these three schools are the first elementary schools to enroll in Energy Trust of Oregon's Path to Net Zero program.

Developed collaboratively with municipal transit and housing authorities, 415 East offers a conceptual design for a mix of market-rate and affordable housing. The project was developed as an anchor for Tacoma's Dome District and a catalyst for future sustainable growth and urban community.

The rehabilitation of Seattle's historic Hamilton Middle School encompassed the complete reorganization of the school's interior. Originally built in 1927, Hamilton now offers flexible, adaptable contemporary learning space, organized into personalized learning communities, for 1,000 middle school students.

Recognized for its architectural celebration of community history, this elementary school replacement project accommodates 650 students in 80,000 SF of contemporary learning space designed for flexibility and adaptability of space for varied learning programs.
