Completed as part of the $43 million replacement of Curtis Junior High School, Colgate Field is a new shared community use field complex, operated via interlocal agreement between the school district and the City of University Place, Washington.
Developed within the city’s Colgate Park that adjoins the junior high school campus, the field complex offers a synthetic turf baseball/softball field, natural turf practice and multi-use fields.
Additional program elements include spectator bleachers, backstops, dugouts and batting cages; and a public plaza, all of which enhance scholastic, intermural and community league athletic events.
Our work also encompassed preservation and enhancement of the existing park paths and trails, creating a unified outdoor complex that enhances recreational opportunities for both students and the community.
