A valuable shared use amenity
This high school gymnasium replacement was one of several projects we completed with UPSD as part of a comprehensive capital construction bond program.
Fostering community
The development of a replacement school that would enhance educational outcomes, facilitate personalized instruction and foster a sense of inclusive community within its diverse student body were leading design imperatives. Community access, safety and security, flexibility, integrated technology and environmental stewardship were also leading design drivers.
Additional program support areas include an auxiliary gymnasium, weight training room, athletics classroom, team room, boys and girls locker rooms, practice spaces, equipment and uniform storage and controlled public access space that facilitates shared public use.
Additional projects completed as part of this bond program included renovation of the school’s free-standing aquatic center, and full replacement of a junior high school and primary school.
