We were engaged by the City of Auburn to facilitate the development of a comprehensive master plan to integrate two new community use facilities into the city’s 21-acre Les Gove Park. At the close of master planning, we were retained for planning, design and delivery of a new community activity center, and design services for a new community center.
Designed to flexibly support a variety of event and recreation needs, the activity center offers an 8,000 square foot naturally ventilated gymnasium, flexible use event and meeting space for up to 400, public lobby and administrative offices and program support spaces. We also renovated and integrated 9,000 SF of existing space into the facility.
Exterior features include a large gathering plaza and rock climbing wall on the building face. A variety of public artworks add to the energy of the space.
