Meadow Crest Early Learning Center supports district and community-based early learning programs under one roof, offering a central space for community interaction and family engagement. Tailored to the unique needs of children ages three to five, the center is organized by age group, personalized to child scale and offers interactive, experiential and creative play opportunities.
Classrooms, meeting spaces and play areas are grouped into small wings, which allow children to move between spaces easily and experience their surroundings at a scale appropriate to their own size.
Classroom groups are organized around interior play courts that encourage creative play, group activities and active learning. Vertical lift doors in each interior play court open onto outdoor play courts and the adjacent inclusive playground, creating connectivity and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor play spaces.
The intimate nature of the wing concept creates the feeling of a small school environment within the context of the larger facility, supporting enhanced supervision and classroom management by staff members, and fostering feelings of safety and security in children.
