Seattle’s Garfield High School, a central hub of its community, has a rich history of excellence and alumni achievement in arts and athletics. It was only fitting that Garfield’s new performing arts center embody and support the school’s legacy of achievement in music and performing arts.

Named in honor of one of its most recognizable alumni, the PAC was designed and integrated as part of the comprehensive rehabilitation and expansion of the historic high school.

The 600-seat theater features a state-of-the-art performance space and production technology.

Program support and applied learning spaces

The center also offers a public gathering lobby, scene shop, dressing rooms, costume shop, prop and scenery storage, and a flexible classroom that also serves as an intimate black-box theater and video production learning space.

As much a hub for community life as Garfield High School itself, this performing arts center was designed for educational programs, and shared use for community events and community group performances.
